Fault diagnosis
8.2
Fault diagnosis for the interface unit LCUR1411
8.2.1
LCUR1411: Fault diagnosis for the UE402A0010S01 switching amplifier
The special variant, the UE402A0010S01, used in the LCUR1411 interface unit differs to
the standard variant due to increased temperature resistance. For the fault diagnosis, see
SICK operating instructions “UE402 Switching Amplifier”. In the “Fault diagnosis” chapter
you will find related information on:
incorrect configurations for which system lock-out is indicated with a corresponding code
on the C4000 receiver,
error messages on the diagnosis LED on the UE402A0010S01,
error messages on the 7segment display of the C4000,
the extended diagnosis features of the CDS software.
8.2.2
LCUR1411: Fault diagnosis on the LCUVS1K-A function decoder
Without any additional tools, on the function decoder you can only check the standard
wiring and if necessary changes to jumpers for the adaptation of the device function to
the earlier protective device of type LVU, LVS and AGS. For this purpose, please utilise
the related information in chapter 5 “Electrical installation”.
8.2.3
LCUR1411: Fault diagnosis on the safety relay SNE4003K-A-111
This module contains two LED’s, labelled for the relay outputs K1 and K2. The active state
is indicated with a green LED.
8.2.4
Further fault diagnosis features on the LCUR1411
Check whether the external device monitoring (EDM) set, actually corresponds with the
function of the protective device replaced; if this is not the case, set the external device
monitoring as on the protective device replaced
Check wiring, particularly links on the terminal block (see chapter 5.2 and 5.2.11)
Check fuses on the terminal block; Terminals 13, 15 and 18
Optional: Check fuse for external 24 V voltage supply at terminal 23
Check necessary voltage supply and voltage selection on the power supply
–
For 230 V AC supply voltage on the primary side:
as necessary, set the sliding switch on the power supply for the LCUR1411 interface
unit to 115 V or 230 V to suit the necessary voltage on the secondary side.
–
Check voltage supply on the secondary side of the 24 V DC power supply; the LED
illuminates constantly on correct function. The adjusting potentiometer is not allowed
to be changed.
