Electrical installation
Switch the entire machine/system off line!
There is a risk of unintentional starting of the machine and power on the supply cables
while you are connecting the devices.
Electrically isolate the system and all devices affected for the period of the electrical
installation and secure against switch on.
Do not connect the inputs to an external potential!
The selector switch, RESET, EDM etc. inputs must be operated using the 24 V DC voltage
generated internally, i.e. it is only allowed to connect switch contacts to the internally
generated 24 V DC. It is not allowed to connect the inputs to external voltages. All external
relays and switch contacts must be safely isolated (protection against dangerous currents
in the body).
Ensure PE connection is made!
Ensure both in case of the supply of power via the power supply in the LCUR1411
interface unit and on the supply of power with 24 V DC via an external power supply that a
correct PE connection is made in the LCUR1411 interface unit.
Use cores with adequate basic insulation!
All cores on the machine cable and all cables inside the LCUR1411 must have basic
insulation to suit the highest voltage that occurs.
5.1
Preparatory activities
An external switch provides volt-free interconnections for the selection of the operating
mode. The combination of these interconnections varies depending on the device to be
replaced. You will find the functions in the table in chapter 5.2 “Connection on machine
side”.
Document the circuit configuration of the ESPE to be replaced prior to dismantling!
You will find a detachable circuit diagram at the end of these operating instructions for the
documentation of the device-specific connections. The circuit configuration must be
entered there and the circuit diagram must be stored with the machine documentation.
5.1.1
Using the spring terminals on the LCUR1411
Use the spring terminals correctly!
The spring terminals used in the LCUR1411 can be damaged if not used correctly. Pay
attention to the procedure described in the following.
