Electrical installation
5.3
Connection of C4000 to the LCUR1411 interface unit
Switch the entire machine/system off line!
There is a risk of unintentional starting of the machine and power on the supply cables
while you are connecting the devices.
Electrically isolate the system and all devices affected for the period of the electrical
installation and secure against switch on.
Connect C4000 receiver and C4000 sender as per Fig.12: Circuit diagram overview,
page 28.
Connection C4000 Standard/Advanced: Receiver
The “Device communication” cables of the C4000 receiver must be connected directly to
the LCUR1411:

For this connection only use a cable with twisted cores in order to achieve the best
possible screening against EMC influences.
When routing or stripping the C4000 receiver cable, take into account the required length.
Connect voltage supply LCUR1411, either via the corresponding cable from the
machine controller to the power supply for the LCUR1411 or via an alternative external
24 V DC voltage supply to terminal 22, 23.
5.3.1
Settings on the C4000 Standard/Advanced safety light curtain using the CDS
software
On the replacement of old devices with the exception of
•
LVS (450 mm and larger) on filter presses with internal switching “with/without restart
interlock” (see chapter 5.2.7)
•
AGS without restart interlock (see chapter 5.2.9, 5.2.11)
it is imperative the following settings are made on the C4000 receiver with the aid of the
CDS software. The fields can be activated by clicking with the mouse or by selecting
alternatives in the related dialog boxes (see CDS user manual and C4000
Standard/Advanced operating instructions).
