this purpose, you can independently create an application-specific parameter set in
SOPAS ET and change it if required. You then load the current parameter set to the
permanent parameter memory of the device.
NOTE
After completing configuration, permanently save the parameters in the nonvolatile
device memory. As part of a data backup plan, always save the current parameter set
outside the device memory. If necessary (device failure, etc.), this makes it easier to
restore the current parameter set used to date to a replacement device of the same
type,
see "External data back-up", page 35 .

7.4 External data back-up
The current parameter set can be manually saved and archived on the computer as
a project file (*.sopas-file with configuration data). This is the generally recommended
procedure.
External data back-up
1. Save the current parameter set in the permanent parameter memory of the device
with the
Permanent option.
2. Also save the parameter set manually as a project file (*.sopas) on the computer.
The saved configuration data can be transferred via download to the replacement
device and saved there permanently. This enables a device to be quickly exchanged
with a replacement device of the same type.
