The device is mounted on the underside of the AGV. The 2D codes are attached in
the form of a grid on the floor. The individual 2D codes are numbered and contain
position information. The device detects and decodes 2D codes. The device uses the
host interface to send the read data, the additionally determined X- and Y-coordinates,
and the angle of shift to a higher-level controller (e.g., PLC). Using this data, the AGV is
localized and repositioned by the controller.

2D codes
Multicode label
Multicode labels can be used for localization. A multicode label consists of several Data
Matrix codes. We recommend using the SICK multicode label as it is optimally tailored
to the application. Using the multicode label from SICK also enables the highest travel
speeds to be achieved. The multicode label is available as an accessory.
