5.2.1

Interfaces and operation

The FX0-GENT is equipped with an integrated three-port switch for connection to the Ether-
net network. Two RJ-45 sockets are available for the connection. The switch functionality
allows the FX0-GENT to be used for connection to another Ethernet component (e.g. con-
nection to a notebook) without having to interrupt the Ethernet connection to the network.
