Safety information for start-up

Preparing for start-up
Start the peripheral devices (e.g. heated sample gas line, registration devices). Wait
until they are ready for operation as necessary (e.g. warm-up time).
Check availability for the auxiliary gases (pressure, reserves).
Activate auxiliary gas supply (e.g. open valves).
Start the H
2
leakage monitoring device and check the function.
Close all housings.

Activation procedure
To start operation of the EuroFID:
Switch on the external mains switch or the mains
switch on the rear of the operating unit.
Automatic procedures after activation

The electronic circuit in the analyzer unit starts the measuring system.
➝
The EuroFID software starts in the operating unit and runs a self-test.
➝
Information on the installed software version is then displayed:

When the software has started, the “System in Service” status is activated (+ LED
“Service” lights up).
➝
The sensor block in the analyzer unit starts to heat up.
➝
The supply of instrument air is activated in the analyzer unit (internal solenoid valve
opens).
➝
The supply of zero gas is activated in the analyzer unit.
CAUTION:
Possible danger for connected devices/stations
When the operating unit is switched on, the analog outputs emit a current of
22 mA for a short time (= 110 % of the measuring range).
Before switching the operating unit on:
If necessary for safety reasons,
inform connected stations and/or deactivate connected devices (e.g. alarm
indicator).
