Terminal module 2
7.2.1
Functions
Terminal module 2 extends the signal connections by the following functions:
●
The switching outputs of the operating unit are available as potential-free relay
switching contacts
●
Latching of the alarm signals, independently of the operating unit ( → P. 124, §11.11.9 );
deactivation of the alarm signals by means of connected pushbuttons
●
Safety circuits for alarm signals
●
Additional control input for the “Maintenance” status (e.g. for a key switch)
●
Additional signal outputs for the device status and alarm (e.g. for signal lamps)
●
Test function for connected signal lamps (by means of connected buttons)
●
Analog inputs can be equipped for the signal range 0/4 … 20 mA (instead of 0 … 10 V)
●
Plug connector with its own switching inputs and outputs for connection of a control
and indicator panel
●
Additional terminal strip (X10) for the connection of additional devices (e.g. recording
instrument)
7.2.2
Technical design

Mechanically the terminal module is a plug module for standard mounting rails in
circuit cabinets (dimensions
→ P. 200, Fig. 46 ).
●
Terminal module 2 requires an external power supply (24 VDC/17 W).

All control inputs of the terminal module are directly connected to the control
inputs of the operating unit (malfunction of the gas supply, maintenance block,
calibration block).
