Control inputs
Functional principle
The control inputs are optical coupler inputs (
).
●
Control voltage: 24 VDC
●
Activation: Transition (pulse edge) 0 V
24 V (min. 18 V)
●
Maximum permissible voltage on the control inputs: 48 V.
Malfunction in the gas supply
This control input serves to supply malfunction signals from the gas supply (e.g. signals
from pressure monitors which monitor the filling pressure of the gas cylinders for fuel gas
and calibration gas). If this control input is activated, the EuroFID activates the “Service
requirement” status.
Calibration block
As long as this control input is activated, no more calibration operations are started.
Together with the “ext.auto” calibration type (
), the “Calibration block”
control input can also be used to start automatic calibrations.
●
Calibration type = “manual” or “auto”:
No calibration starts as long as the “Calibration
block” control input is activated. If the calibration block blocks an automatic calibration,
automatic calibration starts as soon as the “Calibration block” control input is
deactivated once more.
●
Calibration type = “ext.auto”:
As soon as the “Calibration block” control input is
deactivated, automatic calibration is started.
Maintenance block
With this control input the EuroFID can be blocked to prevent intervention: If the
“Maintenance block” control input is activated, it is not possible to use operating functions
which would interrupt measuring mode.
NOTICE:
Voltages exceeding 48 V can severely damage internal components.
The EuroFID interrupts calibration by extinguishing the FID flame. The
measuring system is then taken out of operation. “Malfunction” is displayed.
If the calibration block has interrupted ongoing calibration:
To reactivate measuring mode:
Ignite the FID flame (
To restart calibration:
Start calibration manually (
Use the “Calibration block” and “Maintenance block” control inputs to prevent
temporary failure of measurement in critical situations which could cause a
hazardous situation.
