Description of the appliance
(1) The control element is located on the top of
the appliance
(2) The outlet opening for the radiant heat is
located on the front and protected with a
honeycomb lattice
(3) The appliance has a base on the bottom that
is equipped with tip protection on the underside.
Place of use and connection to power supply
• Always place the appliance on a level, solid surface and ensure a clear
space of at least 1 metre around the appliance. The appliance is not designed
for connection or use in a cabinet or out of doors.
• When the appliance is switched on for the first time, a mild odour may occur.
This is normal. Ensure sufficient ventilation for it to dissipate. The smell will
only last for a short time and will then disappear.
ATTENTION
Certain parts of this appliance may become very hot and cause
burns.
Starting up and functions
• Insert the plug into an earthed power socket and switch the appliance on with
the ON/OFF switch.
The right-hand ON/OFF switch controls the top heating element and the left-
hand switch the bottom element. When one element is switched on, the
appliance provides 400 watts of heating power; when both elements are on, it
provides 800 watts of heating power.
