Calibrating the Mixer
1. Turn down the microphone level,
2. Switch on the 1Khz tone switch.
3. Adjust the MASTER level to display exactly 0 VU on the meter.
4. Check the long cable from the mixer LINE OUT to the camera INPUT 1 (CH-‐1)
5. Check the audio switch on the camera, make sure to select LINE on the MIC/LINE switch.
6. Adjust the AUDIO LEVEL dial on the camera side to calibrate the level to -‐18 on the display.
Test record the 1khz tone and play it back to check sound quality.
Listen with the headphones on the camera.
Now that audio levels are tested and calibrated, do not adjust the MASTER level on the mixer, or
the audio levels on the camera
as this will undo your set up
Only adjust the Mic channel level on the mixer, adjust so voices average 0 Vu on the meter.
