If it is a tight turn (entering a doorway or going around a blind corner) STOP
your ultralight Jiffy. Push your joystick in the direction you wish to proceed,
the Ultra Light will move in this direction. Once the Ultra Lite is positioned in
the direction you wish to travel, push your joystick forward (ensure your speed
is set to the slowest setting).
The Ultra Light will move gently and with complete stability.

REVERSING (Requires your attention)
Always set your speed to SLOWEST setting before you back up.
Pull the Joystick backwards with your hand.
Always proceed slowly.
The Ultra Light power chairs are not designed for use in loose gravel, sand or
grass.

RAMPS
The stability of your power chair is governed by several factors such as the
seating position of the occupant, the angle of the slope, your height and weight.
When approaching an incline, do so directly, avoid driving up on an angle.
Where ever possible avoid making turns on any incline or decline. When going
down a slope set the speed setting to SLOW, this will ensure there is a safe
controlled decent. When the thumb levers are released the scooter will slow to
a stop.
If you do not feel safe going down a slope DO NOT use it. Find an alternative
route. Please follow all the guidelines and your power chair will perform
admirably over many surfaces.

TRANSPORTING YOUR POWER CHAIR

Always ensure your chair is turned OFF both on the battery pack and on the
joystick.
Remove your battery pack by flicking the release lever (as indicated below #2)
And then using the carry handle (as indicated below #1) to lift it away from the
rear of the power chair.
Remove the armrest and controller from the seat and lay on the ground. The
knob to undo the armrest is located under the seat. Note the controller cable is
still attached via the main control cable, it is not necessary or advisable to
remove this cable. (as indicated below #5).
Fold the seat by pulling up on the lever at the side of the seat and pushing down
the back rest. Remove the seat by loosening the knobs under the seat and lifting
the seat off the base. (Refer figure #6)
The unit can now be placed in the car. The controller and armrest can be placed
on the base unit. The battery pack can also be placed in its storage space on the
Ultra Light Jiffy to minimise the room used within the boot space.(Refer figure
#7 for folded down unit.)
