Elevator Chain Installation and Replacement

Step 1—Remove Chain. 

Install or replace elevator chain, using a

pin located on the underside (return side) of the elevator, loosen
both sides of the lower pulley takeup brackets.  With the chain
loose, remove the one pin.

Step 2—Install Replacement Chain. 

 Install the new chain, reinsert

pin and tighten the lower take up bracket (refer to 

Figure 3-1

 in the

Installation & Startup -  Chapter 3, of this manual for take up
bracket location).
