The MX-M503U, MX-M453U and MX-M363U safeguard sensitive data
with powerful encryption technology and advanced security features,
such as a secure network card and an optional Data Security Kit, that
provide multiple levels of network and data security.
Secure Network Access
An intelligent network interface provides a secure firewall to the MFP,
preventing unauthorised access to configuration and network settings.
Access can be controlled at three levels:

IP address filtering, which limits access to a select number of
predefined addresses
•
MAC address filtering, which limits access to specific PCs regardless
of their IP address
•
TCP/IP services blocking, which block specific communications
protocols and gives administrators the ability to close vulnerable
ports and disable the embedded home page of the device.
Data Security Kit
Digital copiers, printers and MFPs can retain hundreds of pages of
confidential information from previous jobs on their hard disks or
internal memory. To protect this information from unauthorised access,
the optional Data Security Kit automatically encrypts the data or
securely erases it on completion of the job. It also encrypts the
address book.
