About BYPASS: normal sound without sound effect.
About VIRTUAL DOLBY: home theatre surround systems normally use five speakers: three across the front (L,
C, R) and two surround speakers on the sides. A virtual surround system attempts to create the same surround
effect produced by a multichannel system using only the left and right speakers.
The general conceptual model of a virtual surround system employs two steps to reduce the L, C, R, and S (or
LS, RS) channels to two channels:
1. Divide the centre signal equally between the left and right speakers to achieve a phantom centre image.
2. Process the S (or LS, RS) signal via a virtualizer before sending it to the L, R speakers, creating a virtualized
image around the listener.
Note: Left, centre, right, and mono surround channels will be abbreviated L, C, R, S, respectively.
Left surround and right surround will be abbreviated LS and RS, respectively.
About SPATIALIZER effect: This sound reproduction mode is intended to get surround effects. The surround
effects enables the consumer to chose from two possible environments, the range of effects current available
include the next:
SPATIALIZER MOVIE: This mode has been designed to be use when watching movies.
SPATIALIZER MUSIC: This mode has been designed to be use when watching a musical event.
Note: It is highly recommended to set the DOLBY VIRTUAL mode when the TV is receiving a "Dolby Digital 5.1"
signal through the DIGITAL AUDIO INPUT terminal.
