The operating s ound may s eem rather loud for 2 to 3 minute s when the unit i s fir s t turned
on. Thi s i s the s ound of the compre ss or' s s tart-up and i s normal.
A s oft, s wi s hing noi s e can be heard immediately after the unit i s turned on or off, and al s o
during operation. Thi s i s the s ound of the refrigerant flowing in s ide the unit.
Check the remote control batterie s . R eplace if nece ss ary.
Try to s end the s ignal again with the remote control pointed directly at the unit' s receiver
window.
Check whether the remote control batterie
s are in s talled with the polaritie s properly
aligned.
Water will collect in the bottom tray of the unit. Thi s i s normal. Water conden s e s on the
evaporator coil at the front of the unit and i s channeled to the rear where it i s picked up
by the conden s er fan. The water i s blown onto the conden s er coil fin s and thi s create s
a " s pla s hing" noi s e which i s normal. If exce ss water build s up in thi s tray it will drain
out s ide through a grooved channel in the tray.
