OPERATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
- Read these operating instructions carefully before driving.
- When using the industrial truck, observe all rules and regulations in your area.
- Drive predictably.
- Use the signal lights to indicate turning or stopping.
Concentrate on the way forward. Avoid driving on gravel, dirt, wet roads, oil-stained roads, curbs,
grilles and other obstructions.
- Beware of unexpected events, such as opening car doors or leaving cars from hidden exits.
- Familiarize yourself with all the functions of the truck. Use signal lights and other safety and
signaling elements.
- Do not transport anyone in front of you. Doing so may impair the view from the truck.
- Do not use any objects that may impair your hearing.
- Maintain sufficient braking distance from all objects. The safe braking distance depends on weather
and road conditions.
WRONG WEATHER (RAIN OR WET)
- Bad weather worsens braking and the risk of an accident increases. This may make it difficult to
control the truck and lose control more easily. To ensure safe driving, adjust the road speed and
weather conditions and brake earlier and gradually than under normal conditions.
Reduce driving speed, avoid sudden braking, and drive corners with extreme caution. Always wear
reflective clothing and safety lights when driving in poor visual conditions. The surface is slippery in
wet terrain, so follow all these instructions.
RIDING AT NIGHT OR DARK
Visibility is poor and impaired at night. If you have to drive under these conditions, check and make
sure you comply with your local night driving regulations. Observe the following precautions:
- Make sure your truck is equipped with correctly positioned and securely mounted reflectors.
- Make sure that your clothing or cargo (in the basket) does not obstruct the reflector or light, and
always make sure that all lighting is fully functional before driving.
- Wear reflective clothing and reflective elements.
- Drive slowly and avoid hazards such as potholes and curbs.
- Avoid dark, unlit areas and reduce speed. If possible, drive only on well-known routes with good
lighting.
