1. DV 9V Input
The VDT-01 can be powered by 9V battery or 9V AC/DC adapter. The adapter must
have a barrel connector with center negative. The battery may be left in or taken out
when using an adapter. To install or replace the 9V battery, loosen the screws on the
bottom and remove the bottom plate. Always remember to unplug your guitar cords
from the pedal to conserve battery life. Some battery drain may take place when unit
is plugged in, even if the unit is bypassed.
2. STATUS LED
When the LED is on, the VDT-01 effect is active. When the LED is off, the VDT-01
is in bypass mode. The footswitch engages/disengages the effect.
3. INPUT Jack
This jack accepts input signals (coming from a
guitar, some other electric or electronic musical
instrument, or another effects unit).
The INPUT jack also serves as the power
switch. Power is turned on whenever a plug is
inserted into the INPUT jack, and is turned off
when the plug is disconnected. When not using
the unit, you should disconnect any cord
connected to the INPUT jack.
4. OUTPUT Jack
Connect this jack to your amplifier or some
other electric or electronic musical instrument,
or another effects unit.
5. Pedal Switch
This switch turns the distortion effect ON/OFF.
6. Tone Knob
This knob controls the tone of the distortion
sounds. Rotating the knob clockwise cuts lower
frequencies, creating sharp sounds. Rotating
the knob counterclockwise cuts higher
frequencies, creating softer, warmer sounds.
7. Gain Knob
This knob controls the depth of distortion sounds and the length of sustained
sounds. Rotating the knob clockwise creates deeper distortion and a longer
sustain time.
8. Level Knob
This knob adjusts the level of the effect sound.
