6. INSTALLING GUIDE BAR & SAW CHAIN
1) Hole
2) Tensioning pin
3) Brake plate
7. Position the brake plate back in the right place and reattach
it to finger tightness.
8. If the side plate won’t move back into position, make sure
that the tensioning pin is aligning with with the hole in the
bar. You can adjust the position of the pin by gently pulling
it while you twist the tension screw.
9. While holding up the tip of the bar, adjust the chain tension
by turning the tensioning screw. To ensure the chain fits cor-
rectly on the chain bar, pull gently up and down and adjust
the tension screw until the chain can barely be moved away
from the chain bar.
