Loop antennas represent a DC short circuit and for this reason are much less
susceptible to noise than are other kinds of antennas. In certain residential
and industrial areas where high noise levels occur, the loop antenna may pro-
vide a substantial improvement in both receiving and transmitting perfor-
mance at very little cost.
