If dust clogs the air filter element , intake resistance increases as the output power decreases. The increase of gaso¬line content in
the mixing gas leads to the Increasing of fuel consumption. To avoid this, check and clean the air filter clement as the following steps
after riding for every 3,000 km.
I. Remove the left cover
2. Loose the fixing sae oand remove the air filter component .
3. Take down the filter from the frame.
CAUTION
When assembling the cover of air cleaner, the mark of “UP” should be on the top.
Cleaning Method
1. Clean the filter with the appropriate amount of non-flammable detergent.
2. Press the filter to remove the liquid.
3. Insert the filter bowl with oil and dip. Then remove the oil by pressing the filter.
