Getting Started
Your Alex Light is ready to plug in and use.
To operate the light, use the on/off switch
located on the head of the light (Diagram 1).
Your on/off switch will have a 0/1 marking
on it. Th e rechargeable light is only available
in a non-dimmable format.
Positioning
Your light is designed to help you easily
direct the beam just where you need it. It
is equipped with a swivel joint at the lamp
head and a robust, fl exible, stay-put arm for
fi ne positioning.
Recharging
Th e light is delivered fully charged and
provides a minimum of 4 hours continuous
use. Th ere will be no loss of light output as
the battery charge drops.
Th e light can be recharged using the
supplied power unit. Th e charging point
is located on the base of the light (see A of
diagram 2). Whilst charging a red light is
visible on the charger. Once fully charged
this light reverts to green (see B of diagram
2). Th e recharging time varies from 90 to
120 minutes.
Th e light can only be used indoors.
Standby Mode
Th e Alex Light is not designed to be opened
so please do not attempt to tamper with it.
It is normal to leave the light on standby
when not in use. When in standby mode it
will consume less than 0.5w.
Table Accessories
Th e table model is equipped with pen and
glasses holders. Th ese can be removed if you
wish. Th e retaining cap releases if squeezed
and lift ed.
If it seems a little stiff you can loosen it
by gently levering the two plastic arms on
either side together. Once the retaining
cap has been released, remove one or both
holders then push the cap back into place
(Diagram 3).
