RxControl: Navigation > Receiver Operation > Timing
Use this command to configure the retrieval of the time from an external NTP time server.
Getting the time from an external source can help the receiver to perform some sanity checks
on the signal received from the GNSS satellites. It is fully optional, except in case of strict
OSNMA operation (see the
command).
If
Mode
is
on
, the receiver will attempt to get the current time from the NTP server specified
with the
Server
argument.
The
Server
argument accepts a host name or a raw IP address. If set to "
default
", a server
is automatically selected by the receiver.
Accessing the NTP server requires the receiver to have access to the Internet. If the receiver
is not connected to a network, the access fails with no error message.
