The DFlex-8, eight port serial adapter has:
•
eight serial ports
•
EIA-232 interface DB25 female connectors
•
individually software-controlled ports, including baud rate, number of data
bits, number of stop bits, and parity
The DFlex serial port expansion cards include static sensitive
components. Follow proper ESD procedures when handling the
cards.
Installing the DFlex serial adapters
1. Remove the cover from the PC.
2. Set the jumpers and DIP switches as indicated in
3. Locate a vacant ISA slot, and remove the rear panel cover.
Retain the rear panel cover screw.
4. Carefully align the card in the slot, and press it firmly into place.
5. Use the slot panel cover screw to secure the card’s retaining bracket to the PC
chassis.
