7.3 Processing Data
Once you have finished collecting all the lines in the grid, press
Slice View
at the bottom of the
screen. Before the data is processed and the depth slices are created, you must ensure the
velocity is accurate; this will result in the most accurate and sharpest depth slice images.
A message displays the velocity value that will be used (Figure 7-43). If you have adjusted this
already for the ground at the survey site, press
OK
to proceed and create the depth slices.

If not, then it is recommended to press
Cancel
and adjust the velocity by using a representative
hyperbola on one of the collected lines. Then return and press
Slice View
and press
OK
to
proceed and create the depth slices.
If the collected grid is too large to process the depth slices on the DVL (which it would have
indicated on the Grid setup screen), then the Slice View button will remain greyed out. The data
must be exported to a computer and opened in the EKKO_Project software Slice View module
to create the depth slices.
