7.1 Line Scan
Line Scan mode allows the operator to acquire data along a line and examine it as a cross-
section image. Line Scan mode can be used to identify the alignment of subsurface features,
check for linearity and acquire accurate depth measurements.
Once you are in the desired project number then press the
Line Scan
button to enter this mode.
You will then see the screen in Figure 7-3.

Some details about the system configuration are displayed, along with the project number/name
and line number. Press the
+
and
–
buttons under Line Number to switch to a different line
number. Press
Star
t to enter data collection mode. To collect data without saving, press
No
Save Mode
The GPS Status indicates which GPS is currently selected, as well as the quality of the GPS
signal, which is based on the number of satellites that it sees. The chart below explains what
the colors and bars mean:
