4.2 Collecting Data
Once the settings are configured, you can begin collecting data.
NOTE: Since PDP measures surface reflection which can be affected by the
presence of standing water, do not use the PDP during rain or on wet pavement
as this will produce incorrect values. PDP is intended for use on fresh asphalt,
when it has cooled sufficiently to safely walk on.
Touch the Start button to begin. The number of the next available line is displayed
under Start.
If desired, enter a description of the line (Figure 4-16). Otherwise, leave the
description blank and just touch
Apply .
If a description was used for an earlier line, the Last Used Text button will be
enabled (otherwise it will be greyed out). Pressing this button will insert the most
recently used description.
The system will then start collecting data. Collection modes are described below.

4.2.1 Profile Mode
In Profile mode, PDP data is collected while the cart is moved. Typically, this is
