CLAIRITY PRO TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS
The ability to troubleshoot an issue is expanded when you use the mobile application; whereas it allows the user
to see the BLE device through identification and give clues as to what steps should be performed.
1.
I installed my JOT devices; however, they are not showing up in the mobile application.
a.
Yes. BLE advertisement automatically stops after 30 minutes. A power cycle will restart the advertisement on devices.

Can I add a mobile device to a previously deployed app-free group?
a.
YES! Here are the steps:
Step 1: Insert JOT tool (keep the tool inserted until the desired operation is complete)
Step 2: Press any front button 8 times
Step 3: Scan and Select Group
Step 4: Upon selecting group; user will have option to initiate PIN.

I powered cycled my devices as shown in 1 above, but not all fixtures are not advertising.
a.
Initiate emergency reenable sequence outlined in 3.b.ii
Initiate Device Recovery from

lairity. You may have to use identify to find target fixture.
Once recovery is complete, missing device will show and can be added to group.

Using the mobile application, I accidentally added the wrong fixture to the group?
Clairity application has a remove device from group function.

I only want daylighting control without occupancy detection. Can I do this?
a.
This functionality is not allowed at this time.
6.
I initially provisioned my room using the Clairity mobile application, now I want to expand my group with more
device. May I accomplish this using the app-free method since they are along the same branch circuit?
a.
App-free method will only work if the wall switch was chosen as the configurator (label GM in app) of the group.
The configurator is chosen at random during group formation.
If app-less provisioning is not working, the chosen wall switch is not the group monitor and additional devices must be added using
the Clairity application

When should I update my system’s firmware?
a.
A firmware update may be available at various points over the product life cycle; however, it does not mean your system will need an
update. When troubleshooting any issue, it is always a good idea to have the latest version. Firmware update may be related to bug
fixes, performance optimizations or features enhancement.
