Enabling Bluetooth
With the unit turned on press and hold the plus (+) button on the right hand side of the unit. You will hear the
message ‘System Setup, Battery Status’ then press the power button until you hear ‘Bluetooth Options’.
Press the plus (+) button on the right hand side of the unit and you will hear ‘Bluetooth enabled’.
To disable Bluetooth simply follow the same instructions but press the minus button as opposed to the plus
button.
Pairing your Bluetooth device
First ensure you have enabled Bluetooth then press and hold the multi function button on the left hand side
of the unit. You will hear the message ‘Bluetooth Discoverable’. The light on the left hand side of the unit will
turn blue and stay on constantly.
Enter connectivity options on your Bluetooth device and under Bluetooth search for new devices. Once the
search is complete select SM1x and when prompted for a password enter four zeros. The pair is complete
once you hear a bell tone in the headset.
Tip: Calls can be answered, or ended, on the device or via the multi function button on the headset.
Enabling short range FM radio
With the unit turned on, press and hold the plus (+) button on the right hand side of the unit. You will hear
the message ‘System Setup, Battery Status’ then press the power button until you hear ‘Short Range FM
Options’. Press the plus (+) button once more and you will hear ‘Short Range FM Enabled’. Press the power
button until you hear ‘Short Range FM Region’ use the plus (+) and minus (-) button to select region one.
Press the power button until you hear ‘Short Range FM Frequency’, use the plus (+) and minus (-) button
to search for a frequency. Choose a frequency with an odd number. Press the plus (+) and minus (-) button
together and you will hear ‘Short Range FM on’.
