VICON CONTROLLER

   ON:  VARIABLE SPEED
   OFF: FIXED SPEED

The preferred method of operation is simplex mode, with only the Vicon cmd data line connected.

If the Vicon response line is connected for duplex operation, the code translator will appear as a
group of cameras to the controller. To prevent interference between the responses from the code
translator and any Vicon cameras in the system, set the switches to exclude any Vicon camera
addresses.

Note: If the Vicon control system is operating in simplex mode and does not require the response
line, the address switches can be set to the maximum range.

SETTING THE SWITCHES

To set the configuration switches, remove the back panel, which is secured by two screws. Then
slide the cover back to expose the switches. The switches can be changed while the code trans-
lator is powered up and the new settings will take effect immediately.

SW3-1

GLOBAL IRIS COMMANDS

         ON:  ENABLED
         OFF: DISABLED

This switch is ignored if SW3-4 is ON.

Some Diamond receivers require the auto
iris status bits to be sent  continuously along
with the pan, tilt, zoom, and focus. If this
switch is ON, the operator can change the
global setting for the code translator.

When auto iris is set to Global On, the auto
iris bits will be sent to each camera as it is
being controlled. An individual camera ad-
dress can be set to the opposite of the global
setting.

SW3-2

GLOBAL IRIS DEFAULT

         ON:   AUTO IRIS
         OFF: MANUAL IRIS

Sets the default state for the iris commands
on power-up

SW3-4

KD6 OPERATION

         ON:    MAXPRO MODE
         OFF: NORMAL MODE

Set to ON if connecting to KD6 domes con-
figured for operation with a Maxpro control-
ler  (This is the preferred setup.)

Set to match the lowest
camera address to which
the code translator will
respond

Set to match the highest
camera address to which
the code translator will
respond
