6. Troubleshooting
Symptom Causes Remedy
Picture
No picture is
shown or is
distorted. • The video cable is not
fi rmly connected.
• Connect the video cable
fi rmly.
• The video input mode of
the appliance connected
to the television is not set
correctly.
• Set the appropriate video
input mode.
Audio
No audio can be
heard
or it is distorted. •
The audio cables are not
connected properly.

Connect the audio cables
fi rmly.
•
Volume is set to a lower
level.
•
Increase the volume.
• Audio is turned off. • Turn the audio on by
pressing the MUTE button
on the remote control.
• The disc is in the fast
playback / reverse
playback mode.
• Press the PLAY / PAUSE
button.
Disc cannot be
played. • The disc is incorrect placed
inside the disc drive.
• Check that the disc is
inserted in the disc drive
with the printed side facing
upwards.
• The disc's rating is higher
than the rating set under
the parental control item.
• Restore the parental
control settings.
• The appliance is not
compatible with the disc.
The disc is dirty.
• Clean the disc.
