OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: VCM1500 & VCM1390

The Semak Vitacrush chops, blends and mixes quickly and efficiently. Use it to make
sauces, soups, purees etc.

1.

Before connecting to  electrical  outlet,  wash  the  container  and  its  parts  and also,
wipe the blender base with a damp cloth.

2.

Ensure  that  the  power  supply  is  also  switched  off  before  connecting  to  the
electrical outlet. Turn the power ON.

3.

Turn the blender ON at the switch found at the rear left hand side of the machine.

4.

Place  the  container  on  the  blender.    Ensure  that  the  lid  and  insert  are  properly
located  on  the  container.  If  a  sound  cover  is  being  used,  close  the  sound  cover
before operating the blender.

5.

Turn the ON OFF switch to the on position. Use the variable speed control knob to
select  the  speed  that  you  want  to  blend  at.  Use  the  pulse  switch  to  pulsate  the
mixture as required.

6.

To prevent splashing, do not lift the container lid or open the  sound cover whilst
still in operation.

7.

When  mixing  or  blending  hot  ingredients,  the  following  precautions  should  be
observed:

Take  care  not  to  lift  the  lid  without  checking  if  pressure  has  built  up  in  the
container.  Release  pressure  slowly  by  turning  the  lid  insert  a  little  allowing
steam to escape and taking care not to burn fingers.

Do not stand directly over container of hot ingredients when removing the lid.

If necessary allow to stand so that steam escapes slowly.

8.

Do not leave the blender unattended or leave contents in the container when not
in operation.

9.

The  blender  is  overload  protected.  If  the  motor  gets  too  hot  it  will  cease  to
operate.  Allow  the  blender  to  cool  down  then  reset  the  overload  switch  by
pressing  the  button  located  on  the  bottom  right  hand  side  of  the  rear  of  the
appliance.

10.

If  the  overload  is  tripped  it  may  be  necessary  to  modify  how  or  what  you  are
blending e.g. reduce the amount being blended to smaller amounts or reduce the
time selected or add more liquid. Seek advice if necessary.
