Installation/Connection
5. Installation/Connection
5.1. Installation location
Ensure that the iveo Sensor WS/WSRF is not installed and operated in the vicinity of
metal surfaces or magnetic fields. Metal surfaces or panes of glass with a metallisation
within the transmission path can reduce the range considerably. The distance between
the receiver and the transmitter has to be selected so that a stable radio reception
exists. When the radio connection is disturbed, the sun protection system will auto-
matically retract.
Surrounding buildings or trees must not influence the light and wind measurement.
Position the sensor exposed. Please observe the variable shadow formation during the
daytime.
5.2. Mounting
Preparation
32 mm
77 mm
Pull the power supply cover forward.
Brake out the necessary frames for the
connecting cables at the pre-marked
position in the power supply cover.
Fixation with 3 screws
(2x above, 1x below).
Fixing material
Caution! The enclosed fixing screws (fillister head self-tapping screw DIN
7981 – Ø 4.2 x 50 mm, A2) and expansion anchors (anchor S8) are only
suitable for the fixing on masonry. Special screws are required for special
mounting surfaces.
Fixing variants
Deviating from the standard fixing (wall), the following described fixing variants are
possible. For some fixing variants the screws of the articulated joint have to be dis-
mounted from the rear and upper device part and the rear device part has to be turned
by 180°.
