Removing the clamp bracket
1. Remove the PTT unit. See “Removing
the PTT unit” (9-59).
2. Remove the stoppers

disassemble the clamp brackets

Checking the clamp bracket anode
(high thrust model)
1. Check the anodes. Replace if eroded.
Clean if there is grease, oil, or scales.
NOTICE: Do not apply grease, oil, or
paint to the anodes.
Installing the clamp bracket
1. Install the bushing 1 , stopper pin 2 ,
stopper knob 3 , and pin 4 .
2. Tighten the self-locking nut 5 completely
onto the shorter threaded end of the
through tube
6 .
3. Assemble the bushings

, clamp brack-
ets 8 and 9 , and swivel bracket 0 , and
then install the through tube

from the
port side.
