In case the electrode needs calibration, by pressing the “Up arrow” key we
can go to the “Calibration” screen.
This screen indicates how to proceed with the calibration of the electrodes.
First of all, the calibration must be activated by pressing the “Activate Cal” key.
In the case of pH electrodes, it is immersed in a pH 4 standard for about three
minutes so that the measurement stabilizes and then we press the “CP1” key.
The electrode is then cleaned and immersed in a pH 7 standard for about
three minutes and then the “CP2” key is pressed.
In the case of O
2
electrodes, the “Zero” calibration is done from time to time.
To do this, it is usually sent to the factory.
For full scale, place the electrode in a 20.96% volume calibrated gas. Hold
it for a few minutes and press the corresponding “CP2” key.
With the “Down arrow”, we return to the errors and alarms screen.
If we press the “Down arrow” key again, we will go to the electrode iden-
tification screen.
On this screen, you can see the electrode model, the serial number, the
reference and the software version.
Apart from the information, there are some keys to activate the electrodes.
(Attention to the ID of the electrodes: the electrode that is installed must be
the same model and same direction).
For the equipment reading, the electrode is activated and the reading starts
again.
If we press the “Up arrow” key, we return to the “Alarms and Errors” screen.
With the “Right arrow” we go to the “Main” screen.
If we press the “Down arrow” key, we return to the control screen.
The “Control” screen will turn the pH controls On and Off.
If we press on the “Set” key, a keyboard will appear so that we can program
the desired pH values.
In the following keys we can program the PID control values to suit our needs.
We can vary the proportional bands and the integration times of the base,
the acid.
Bp ranges from 0 to 100.0% and Ti from 0 to 30,000.
In the lower part we can see, through indicator lights, when the control
outputs are activated.
To carry out this control, the equipment has outputs by means of potential-
free relays (10 Amp.). See attached diagram in the picture.
In order to access them, the lower cover of the equipment is released and
the equipment that supplies the acids or bases to carry out the control is
connected.
