During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke and/or a slight odor. This is normal and should quickly disappear. It will
not recur after appliance has been used a few more times.
Solid surface countertops can be easily scratched, cracked, scorched, or damaged, especially when exposed to heat. To prevent
damage, the following precautions should be observed when using this product:
•
Always use a trivet under heat generating sources such as Percolators, etc.
•
Do not place hot pans, pots, ceramic or stoneware inserts, etc. directly on the countertop surface.
BEFORE USING
1. Carefully unpack the percolator and all parts (remove any and all parts inside appliance). Remove all packaging materials, including
any stickers or labels.
2. Rinse interior of the percolator with warm, soapy water. Rinse well and dry thoroughly. Clean the exterior surfaces and parts of the
percolator with a damp cloth or sponge. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
NEVER IMMERSE THE PERCOLATOR BASE OR CORD IN
WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID. Electrical connections or the switch should not contact water.
3. It is recommended to operate this appliance on a separate outlet and circuit from other appliances to avoid overloading the circuit.
HOW TO USE
1. Place the percolator on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface.
2. Remove all parts stored inside appliance including the stainless steel stem, brew basket, brew basket lid and cord.
3. Using the measurement markings found on the inside of the unit, fill the percolator with the desired amount of water. For best results,
use cold water.
4. Wet basket interior with cold water and place brew basket on the top of the stainless steel stem on the spring. Add desired amount
of coffee grounds according to the level markings on basket. NOTE: It is best to use percolator or coarse ground coffee. Small coffee
grounds may escape brew basket.
5. Put the basket and stem assembly into percolator so that the bowl shaped end of the stem fits into the well at the bottom of the
percolator. Place brew basket lid over brew basket and push the stainless steel lid onto the percolator until it snaps closed.
6. Ensure appliance is switched to off before plugging the powercord into the percolator. Then, plug powercord into the an 120 volt AC
wall outlet.
