Installing the Door Handle
To attach the door handle to the door edge that opens:
1. Remove the two screws and two screw plugs from the door.
2. Align the holes on the door with those on the handle and insert two screws and
secure into place. Press the two caps over the heads of the screw.
3. Insert the two screw plugs onto the opposite side of the door.

FIRST USE
Cleaning the Interior
Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the interior and all internal
accessories with lukewarm water and a mild soap. Dry thoroughly. This will clear the
typical smell of a brand-new product.
IMPORTANT!
Do not use detergents or abrasive cleaning materials as these will
damage the finish.
Temperature Setting
IMPORTANT!
If the appliance has been moved, wait at least four hours for fluids
inside to balance before plugging it in and turning it on.

Plug in your appliance.

The internal temperature is controlled by a thermostat. There are eight settings
(see
Figure 13
). Setting

is the warmest temperature and

is the coldest
temperature setting. When set at

, the appliance is turned off. When set at
7
, the
compressor does not stop.
■
The appliance may not operate at the correct temperature if it is in a particularly
hot location or if you open the door frequently.
■
The appliance is not suitable for freezing foods. When starting up your appliance
after a period of time when it has not been used, turn the settings up to
MAX
and
wait approximately two hours before filling the refrigerator with food. Then set
the thermostat to the setting that suits your current climate.
