Connection for TIG welding
- Connect (1) the earth clamp to the positive socket (+) (2)
ofthe power source.
- Connect the TIG torch coupling (3) to the torch socket (4)
ofthe power source.
- Connect the gas hose from the cylinder to the rear gas (5)
connection.
- Connect the signal cable (6) of the torch to the appropriate
connector (7).
- Connect the gas hose (8) of the torch to the appropriate
union/connection (9).
3 SYSTEM PRESENTATION
3.1 General
These constant current inverter power sources are able to per-
form the following types of welding with excellent results:
- MMA
- TIG with remote arc striking by high frequency (TIG HF-
START) and control of the gas supply by the torch button
- TIG with contact ignition with reduction of short circuit cur-
rent (TIG LIFT-START) and control of gas delivery by means of
torch button (selectable from set-up).
In inverter welders, the output current is unaffected by va-ria-
tions in the supply voltage and the length of the arc, and is
perfectly levelled, giving the best welding quality.
3.2 Front control panel
1 Power
supply
Indicates that the equipment is connected to the mains
and is on.
2 General
alarm
Indicates the possible intervention of protection devices
such as the temperature protection.
3 Power
on
Indicates the presence of voltage on the equipment
outlet connections.
4 7-segment
display
Allows the general welding machine parameters to be
displayed during start-up, settings, current and voltage
readings, while welding, and encoding of the alarms.
5
Main adjustment handle.
Allows the welding current to be continuously adjusted.
Allows adjustment of the selected parameter on graph 6.
The value is shown on display 4.
6
Welding parameters
The graph on the panel allows the selection and adjust-
ment of the welding parameters.
A Welding
current
Permits adjustment of the welding current.
Parameter set in Amps (A).
Minimum 3A, Maximum Imax, Default 100A
B Pulsed
frequency
Allows activation of the pulse mode.
Allows regulation of the pulse frequency.
Allows better results to be obtained in the welding of
thin materials and better aesthetic quality of the bead.
Parameter setting: Hertz (Hz) - KiloHertz (kHz).
Minimum 0.5Hz, Maximum 500KHz, Default off
C Slope-down
Allows you to set a gradual passage between the weld-
ing current and the final current.
Parameter set in seconds (s).
Minimum off, Maximum 10s, Default off
7 Selection
parameters
Allows entry to set up, the selection and the setting of
the welding parameters.
