Make sure that the Trekker PT is switched off completely before carrying it, as injury may be caused
by the quick rotation of the wheels. It is suggested that the vehicle be carried by 2 people by holding
the frame NOT by holding the mudguard, as this may break and cause personal injury
9.3 Recommended Rules for Safe Riding
Adhere to the local traffic rules to achieve responsible riding without colliding with other people /
objects
Keep to a moderate speed, and a good distance from pedestrians and other vehicles
Be prepared to stop at any time, and keep speed controlled
Adopt a good riding manner without making sudden acceleration, deceleration or braking
Respect the pedestrian's right of way at all times
Do not ride at high speed surrounded by a crowd of people
If riding with other scooter riders, keep a safe distance from each other, and do not ride side by side
unless there is sufficient room for other vehicles to pass safely
Do not park where the Trekker PT would block the right of way for pedestrians and disabled persons
Do not ride in a dim environment. If it is really necessary, use a slow speed and drive wi th caution
using the Trekker PT front headlight
Maintain a good posture. Keep relaxed with knees and elbows slightly bent, with the head raised
Avoid riding backwards except for the purpose of reversing, as this can be dangerous
DO NOT ride the machine in assistance mode, as this puts stress on the motors. Assistance mode is
purely to assist in moving the vehicle easily
DO NOT step on the machine using the leansteer bar for support. If the bar is pulled backwards, the
machine will move backwards
