9.0 Guide for Safe Riding of the Trekker PT
Apart from being an off-road leisure vehicle, the Trekker PT is also a personal transportation vehicle
which may have risks similar to those of all other commuting vehicle. If the information in this chapter
'Guide for safe riding the Trekker PT' is followed, it will maximize the safety of the rider and others, and
by doing so, it will not cause major injury to the rider, even if unrecoverable faults happen to the
Trekker PT.
Whilst operating the Trekker PT, the rider should be cautious at all times, and keep a reasonable and
safe distance from other people / riders and other means of transportation. Even if the rider operates
the Trekker PT in compliance with the Guide for Safe Riding, they may be subject to the improper
actions of other people / riders around them; the same precautions sho uld be taken as though riding /
driving any other vehicle.
9.1 Regulations and Compliance
a.
Understand and comply with local (traffic) regulations.
b.
Wear the correct protective clothing – helmet, wrist / elbow / knee pads and high visibility vest
c.
Check the battery status with the remote key fob before each use. If there is less than 60% of
power remaining, do not use it for a long journey. Otherwise it may stop working when in use

Check the Trekker PT to make sure that there are no loose, dropped or damaged parts, and that
there are no abnormal sounds or continuous warning lights displayed during riding

The rider should be in a fit condition to ride, without alcohol consumption, sedative or stimulant
therapy for at least 6 hours previously.
