CU Board Removal
To remove CU board:
1. Make sure Segway PT is powered off and
unplugged.
2. Establish a serviceable power base ( page 7 ‐
1 ).
3. Remove pivot base assembly ( page 9 ‐ 14 ).
4. Remove chassis cover ( page 10 ‐ 3 ).
5. Disconnect (2) CU motor harnesses from
motors (one per motor). See Figure 11 ‐ 1 .

6. Use small flathead screwdriver to gently lift
tab on connector, and then carefully pull on
connector to unseat. See Figure 11 ‐ 2 .

7. Disconnect balance sensor assembly harness
and CU harness from CU board by
squeezing plastic tab on connector and
gently pulling connector. See Figure 11 ‐ 3 .
8. Use a T ‐ 10 6 ‐ lobe torque wrench to remove
14 self ‐ tapping screws that mount the CU
board to the chassis. See Figure 11 ‐ 4 .
DISCARD FASTENERS AFTER REMOVAL! DO NOT
REUSE!

9. Grasp CU board on edge of heat sink and lift
from chassis. See Figure 11 ‐ 4 .
