4.4.5
Maximum UDMA mode
This option allows enabling or disabling DMA (Direct Memory Access) support for the EIDE devices. Possible choices are: 2 (ATA 33), 3 (ATA50), 4 (ATA66), 5
(ATA100) and None. This option is useful most of all for debugging purposes in case older Hard Disks have difficulties working with the board, and the possibility of
limiting the speed transfer rate can be used to check if the problems are related to the Speed rate.
4.4.6
Multi Processing
This item allows enabling or disabling multiprocessing capabilities, for CPU
’
s with this capability. It is possible to choose between CMP only (Core MultiProcessing),
HT only (HyperThreading) or CMP + HT.
4.4.7
Default CPU frequency MHz
It allows the selection of default operative frequency (MHz) to be used for the CPU. Since the frequency depends on the processor installed, it is not possible to
state here the values that will be offered. CPU frequency, like Thermal management mode, can be varied even by the O.S., according to ACPI tables, CPU C-
States and Speed Step management.
4.4.8
Execute Disable Bit
This item allows enabling or disabling the XD feature flag, i.e. it allows enabling or disabling the hardware feature needed for data execution prevention.
This option can be used only with newer OS that support this feature.
4.4.9
SATA port 0
This option allows enabling SATA port #0.
4.4.10
SATA port 1
This option allows enabling SATA port #1.
4.4.11
LFP clock Spread Spectrum
This option allows activating or deactivating Spread Spectrum on LVDS (LFP) clock. Activation is possible by setting directly the spread spectrum at -2.5%, -2%, -
1.5%, -1%, -0.5%, ±0.25%, ±0.5%, ±0.75%, ±1% or ±1.25%.
4.4.12
CPU clock Spread Spectrum
This option allows activating or deactivating Spread Spectrum on CPU clock.
4.4.13
PCI INTA /INTB / INTC /INTD IRQ routing
These options allow choosing which IRQ has to be assigned to PCI INTA#/INTB# / INTC# / INTD# lines (possibilities are IRQ 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15 or
NO).
