Operating instructions for the SEALUX CC 40
Congratulations on your new SEALUX underwater housing. You have taken an excellent
choice. With the SEALUX underwater housing you have acquired a professional underwater
housing for highest demands. Special value was attached to highest reliability and long life.
1. H o w to prepare the lenses:
For transferring the zoom function or the manual focusing it is necessary to fix the suitable
gearwheel on the respective lens. For that it will be moved carefully and regularly onto the lens.
Important is the exact position: the drive gearwheel should run in the middle of the gearwheel.
Due to the tolerance in manufacture of the lens as well as due to the gearwheel it can be
necessary to even out this tolerance by means of a thin stripe adhesive tape (Tesa). The
gearwheel should be kept on the lens all the time.
2. How to mount the camera:
Fix the suitable port on the chosen changing lens (see below) and open the housing (see below).
Lay the cable for dubbing cable to the outside. Put the camera on the basic plate and push
forwards; with that pull the adjusting wheel at the housing upwards and stick the tripod screw
through the hole in the basic plate. Fix the screw at the centre by means of a coin.
Move the plug for dubbing into the camera flashshoe up to the stop. Check the functions.
3, How to close the housing:
Pull the function gears Mode, On-Off, adjusting wheel to the outside. Observe that the O-ring is
clean and correctly lying in the O-ring groove.
The O-ring should be slightly greased with silicone grease. Put the rear half of the housing
carefully onto the front part; the back wall is at the centre in the front guide. Fasten both
lockings and close them simultaneously. Check now, if the safety lockings are engaged. Check
the functions of the rear side now. When opening press in the safety lockings and proceed in
reverse order.
4. How to change the port:
Position the port to the bayonet holder of the housing: with that the red marking on the port is
showing upwards. Press the port carefully and regularly into the holder up to the stop. Turn
anticlockwise until the white marking is showing upwards. Protect the glass with protective
cap. You can also make a change of lens without removing the camera. For that open the port as
above-mentioned, press the lever Release and turn the lens out of the camera.
