detects and confirms radio frequency and/or infra red emission from key fobs and remote controls. Helps diagnose faults quickly and easily without
the need to dismantle the fob, remote or vehicle. magnetic backing sticks to the side of any ferrous surface making distance test of transmitter a
possibility. suitable for a wide variety of vehicle and electronic/electrical applications. Powered by a 9V battery (not included).

4.1.

4.1.1.
slide the battery cover off from the rear of the tester
.
4.1.2.
insert a 9V/PP3 battery (not included).
4.1.3.
make sure polarity is correct.
4.1.4.
replace battery cover.
4.2.
operAtioN
4.2.1.
switch the unit on by pressing the “on/off” button, this will illuminate
the green led at the top of the tester.
4.2.2.
secure the tester to a metal surface using the magnetic pad on the rear
of the tester.
4.2.3.
make sure the tester is at least 3 metres away from other electrical
devices which may emit an electrical frequency. interference with the unit
will cause the led to illuminate/flash.
4.2.4.
Aim a working key fob at the tester and operate the key fob, a led at
the top will flash once. now test the suspect key fob.
4.2.5.
if the suspect key fob does not trigger the led, change the key fob’s
battery and repeat the procedure.
4.2.6.
the tester can also be used to determine the strength/range of a key
fob’s signal.
Note:
the tester need not be switched off as it has an “auto-shutdown” function
(approximately 1 minute without use).
4.2.7.
this tester can also pick up test home entertainment remotes and
other similar devices.
