 Incorrect or out of phase camshaft timing can result in   

 

contact between the valve head and the piston crown. 

 

This will cause damage to the engine.

Setting and locking kit that fits a wide range of VAG group 1.8 & 2.0 petrol engines. Includes essential tooling required to remove the camshaft 

adjuster valves and a useful crankshaft pulley holding tool. Some applications and repair operations will require additional tooling.
