4. operation
4.1.
to carry out test
4.1.1.
prepare a container and remove approximately 1/10 of the volume of coolant. (fig.1).
4.1.2.
open the radiator cap (make sure the radiator is cool before opening).
4.1.3.
Remove cap to chamber 2, half fill with blue CO
2
test liquid and replace cap.
4.1.4.
install the rubber bulb, acrylic chamber and rubber cone adapter one after another.
4.1.5.
Install tester device onto radiator’s filler neck. (Fig.2)
4.1.6.
start engine and pump the rubber bulb continually to draw the steam from radiator and check if test liquid colour changes. (fig.3)
4.1.7.
After testing, stop engine and remove cone adapter from radiator’s filler neck carefully. Refill radiator and replace cap.
4.1.8.
pour the used test liquid into storage bottles and store each component in the carry case. test liquid can be used 3 to 5 times.

the lighting in some work areas may affect the colour of the test liquid.
5. maintenance
5.1.
Keep parts of leak detector clean and stored in the case provided. ensure test kit is kept in a secure, dry storage area and out of
the reach of children.
