5.1.    

The extinguishers should be visually inspected at least quarterly, but preferably monthly, by the user, to ensure that the equipment is in  

 

its designated position, has not been used and has not been tampered with. The servicing of fire fighting equipment must be carried  

 

out by a competent person using the correct tools to follow the procedures of BS 5306 part 3, 2003 and the manufacturers instructions.  

 

This maintenance should be performed at least annually.

5.1.1.   

Inspect regularly for damage and operational serviceablility.

5.1.2. 

  

If pressure indicator is in the red zone recharge the extinguisher.

 

Do not

 test prior to use.

5.1.3.   

Check servicability at least annually in accordance with BS 5306 PART 3:2003.

5.1.4. 

  

Recharge after complete or partial use.

5.1.5. 

  

Refilling and servicing should be carried out by a competent person in accordance with BS5306-9:2015 

 

5.1.6.   

Use only product and spare parts approved by the manufacturer for this model.

5.1.7.   

Refill charge: 6 litres (100%). Water: 5.82 litres (97%), AFFF: 0.18 litres (3%). Pressurised with nitrogen to a working pressure of 12
