1.2 GENERAL SAFETY
WARNING!
Ensure Health & Safety, local authority, and general
workshop practice regulations are adhered to when using this
tool.
WARNING!
Familiarise yourself with the specific applications
and limitations of the bush replacement tool, as well as any
potential hazards.
This tool should be used in conjunction with inspection
maintenance
procedures recommended in the vehicle manufacturer’s manual.
Ensure that the bush replacement tool is the correct tool for the
task.
DO NOT
use the bush replacement tool
for any purpose other
than that for which it is designed.
Ensure that the vehicle is properly supported with axle stands
before working under the vehicle.
Ensure there is adequate lighting prior to using the bush
replacement tool. A range of inspection lamps is available from
your local Sealey dealer.
Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the working
area.
DO NOT
use the bush replacement tool if any parts are damaged
or missing, as this may cause failure and/or personal injury.
DO NOT
use the bush replacement tool
when you are tired, or
under the influence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medication.
2.1. REMOVING A BUSH.
Refer to Fig.2:
2.1.1. Screw the threaded bar

into the bush removal cup

and insert the threaded bar into the bush to be removed
from the vehicle rear trailing arm bush-mounting (Step one).
2.1.2. Locate components

on threaded bar

(Step two).
2.1.3. Using a ring spanner, or ratchet wrench, tighten nut

(Step three) until the bush is clear of the vehicle rear trailing
arm and located in component

(Step four).
2.1.4. Remove the bush from component

by unscrewing the bush removal cup

the threaded bar

2.1.5. Replace all the components comprising the bush replacement tool in the appropriate slots in the carrying case
(Fig.4).
