Place knobs in glovebox or other se-
cure storage for later use.
Raising of tower is the reverse of this
procedure.
Tower Removal
NOTE:
This procedure will require
two people. Remove tower only from
upright position.
To completely remove tower from
boat, remove both rear attachment
knobs from tower and remove the
8 mm (5/16 in) Allen bolt from each
front tower upright. Carefully remove
tower from boat.
Installation (from off boat)
NOTE:
This procedure will require
two people.
Carefully lift tower assembly and posi-
tion front supports in their attachment
points.
Apply Loctite 243 (P/N 293 800 059)
to threads of bolts and install bolts into
front attachment points. Torque bolts
to 12 N•m (106 lbf•in).
Lift support arms into position and in-
stall knobs.
Raise tower into upright position and
install knobs to complete installation
of tower.
WARNING
Pulling a tube, skier or wakeboard-
er makes the boat handle different-
ly and requires greater skill. Un-
less absolutely necessary, do not
make tight, sharp turns. Keep a
safe distance from docks, swim-
mers, other craft or objects. Be ad-
vised that serious injury can result
if the tow rope becomes slack dur-
ing a tight turn or when circling.
The rope could become wrapped
around the neck or limbs of a per-
son.
The decal shown below is installed on the tower and on the gunwale next to the
driver's seat.
