Turn on both the remote and repeater by 
turning the outer ring slightly to the right.

Go to the main menu of both devices by 
pushing the 

righthand

 button for  

2 seconds.

If you want to use the devices differently 

(remote as repeater or vice versa) you 
need to open the menu, switch to remote / 
repeater and leave the menu by pressing the 
left-hand button before re-pairing.
